This class is designed for autistic and other neurodivergent birthing people (and their partners/support people) who want a birth preparation that truly takes sensory, communication, and processing needs into account.
Together we:
Explore how autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences can show up in pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period
Map your personal sensory profile and specific triggers (light, sound, touch, smells, interruptions)
Create a sensory-friendly birth plan: environment, tools, and strategies that help you stay regulated
Develop scripts and phrases for communicating with staff, including when overwhelmed or non-verbal
Discuss navigating hospital routines (monitoring, exams, IVs, continuous questioning) in a way that respects your needs
Plan partner/support roles with clear, concrete tasks
Identify accommodations you can request and how to advocate for them
This space is neurodiversity-affirming and non-pathologizing. You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend—if you recognize yourself in these descriptions, you are welcome here.
